Head & Chief Investment Officer, Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners Fund of Hedge Funds Group
Mustafa is head and Chief Investment Officer of Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners Fund of Hedge Funds group; he is also a member of the AIP Fund of Hedge Funds Investment Committee. He joined Morgan Stanley AIP in 2004 and has more than 17 years of industry experience. Prior to joining the firm, Mustafa was a managing director and head of manager sourcing for Glenwood Capital Investments and was a director and portfolio manager at Deutsche Bank Absolute Return Strategies; both are fund of hedge funds managers. Previously, he managed client capital at Bankers Trust / Deutsche Bank, utilizing option strategies in equities, fixed income, currencies and commodities and also managed Deutsche Bank's proprietary capital. Mustafa received a B.S. in civil engineering from Southern University and an M.S. in civil engineering from the University of Southern California. He received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
