Roland Schwinn
Executive Director & Head of Business Development Asia and Middle East, Eurex, Deutsche Boerse Group
Roland Schwinn is Head of Sales for Asia, Pacific and the Middle East for Eurex, the derivatives market of the Deutsche Boerse Group. He joined Eurex in 2007 as Head of Business Research and is holding his current position since July 2007.
His main responsibilities lie in the Business Development, Sales & Marketing and the Cooperation with partners in this region.
From 1994 to 2006 he worked as an Independent Business Consultant for Eurex and the Deutsche Boerse Group in several projects and in the areas of Marketing & Sales and Institutional Investor Business Development, specializing in hedge funds.
He started his career at the DTB - Deutsche Terminboerse - (the predecessor of Eurex) in 1990 as a Product Development Manager and worked in several positions at DTB, including Strategic Marketing Manager and Client Services Manager until 1994.
After so many years in the business, he is still happy to be part of this dynamic community. His extensive Know-How in combination with so many years of experience has resulted in a real insight into the financial markets.
Roland Schwinn studied at the University of Applied Sciences, Trier Germany and the University of Leicester, UK. He is holding a master degree in Business Administration and a Postgraduate Diploma in European Business Studies.
In his free time Roland Schwinn plays Bass, Guitar and the piano and has, in the last years, developed a deep interest in Wing Chun Gong Fu, Qi Gong and Yoga.
