Seet Capital Management

Seer Capital Management is a New York-based investment firm, founded in 2009 and specializing in securitized products.  Seer Capital focuses on distressed and special situations, and currently manages $1.1 billion in investor capital.

The firm was founded by Philip Weingord, former Head of Global Markets Americas at Deutsche Bank.  Seer’s expertise encompasses all aspects of securitized products investing including trading, structuring, research, modeling and risk management.  The senior members of the Seer Capital team each have more than 20 years of experience in the securitized product markets.  Several of the founding partners have worked together for more than 17 years, first at Credit Suisse and then at Deutsche Bank, where they built one of the most profitable groups on Wall Street and successfully navigated the 2007-2008 credit crisis.

The securitized products market is the largest distressed asset opportunity in history and offers high, uncorrelated returns with excellent downside protection.  Seer Capital’s senior management team is comprised of experts from multiple disciplines with experience across virtually all asset types including residential, commercial and asset-backed securities (“RMBS,” “CMBS,” and “ABS,” respectively).
