Steve Vogt, Ph.D.
Chief Investment Officer, Mesirow Advanced Strategies, Inc.
Dr. Stephen Vogt is the chief investment officer of Mesirow Advanced Strategies, Inc., and a member of the
investment and executive committees. Additionally, he is a member of its parent company, Mesirow
Financial Holdings Inc.’s executive committee and board of directors. Dr. Vogt is responsible for overseeing
all aspects of research including portfolio management, risk management, manager due diligence and
manager monitoring. Prior to joining Mesirow Advanced Strategies, Inc. in 1999, he was an associate
professor of finance at DePaul University. Dr. Vogt’s research focused on empirical tests of financial
theories and has been published in both academic and trade journals. He received a B.S. in economics and
mathematics from Bemidji State University, and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in economics from Washington
University-St. Louis.
