Keith Cardoza

Chief Investment Officer, Brownson Rehmus & Foxworth

 

Keith Cardoza, CFA, is a Principal and the Chief Investment Officer of Brownson, Rehmus & Foxworth, Inc., which provides investment advice to wealthy families with over $10 billion of assets.  Mr. Cardoza designs, crafts and implements the company’s investment strategies as well as identifies superior investment managers across all asset classes.  He is a member of the firm’s Investment Strategy, Public Markets, Private Equity and Real Estate Committees.

 

Previously, Mr. Cardoza served as a Managing Director of Merrick Ventures, an investment firm focused on technology investments.  He created the Ocean Tomo 300 Patent Index, the first intellectual property based stock index. He chaired Boeing’s Investment Strategy and Asset Allocation Committee, where he coordinated a team of investment experts responsible for $65 billion in retirement assets. Prior to Boeing, he managed the $6 billion global equity portfolio for the Illinois State Board of Investment pension fund.

 

Mr. Cardoza, a CFA charterholder, is co-chair of the CFA Institute’s 2012 Annual Conference.  He vice-chairs the CFA Society of Chicago and chairs its governance committee. He serves on the boards of Joffrey Ballet, Steppenwolf Theatre, St. Chrysostom’s Day School and Chicago Children’s Choir, where he chairs its nominating committee. He served as a public governor of the Chicago Stock Exchange, and on the boards of Lyric Opera of Chicago and Union League Club of Chicago.

 

Mr. Cardoza is a member of The Chicago Club, The Economic Club of Chicago and Northwestern Memorial Foundation’s Professional Council for Philanthropy. He produced IN MEMORIAM, an independent film, which renowned movie critic Roger Ebert awarded three (out of four) stars.

 

Mr. Cardoza earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Chicago, where he met his wife, Kathleen. They live in Chicago with their two children.
