Georgette Mosbacher

CEO & President, Borghese Inc.

 

Georgette Mosbacher has long been known as a successful business leader, a best selling author and a nationally recognized advocate for women and children and our wounded military.

 

Ms. Mosbacher is currently the CEO and President of Borghese Inc., a worldwide cosmetics, toiletries, personal care company. Under her leadership Borghese is breaking new ground in the worlds of beauty and retail. By forging an unprecedented alliance with Costco she introduced a prestigious brand into the arena of high volume, mass market retailing. She has spearheaded Borghese successful distribution throughout China.

 

Previously, Ms. Mosbacher served as CEO and owner of La Prairie, where she built a world-class, prestigious beauty brand subsequently selling the company to Beiersdorf AG.

 

In addition to her success in business, Ms. Mosbacher is renowned as a National leader and fundraiser for the Republican Party. For over a decade, she served as the Republican National Committeewoman for the State of New York. She served as the first woman to be General Chairman of the Republican Governor’s Association.

 

In the mid 90’s she founded The New York Center for Children, a privately financed, tax-exempt charity dedicated to assisting abused children and their families. Mrs. Mosbacher's dedication to our military veterans and their families is exemplified by her work as a Trustee of The Intrepid Family of Foundations and a Board member of The Fallen Hero's Fund. In 2012 The Green Beret Foundation awarded Mrs. Mosbacher their first Steel Magnolia Award.

 

Ms. Mosbacher’s numerous political appointments and affiliations include: Childhelp USA, Kellogg Family for Kids Crusade, (Gubernatorial Appointment); The William B. Hoyt Memorial Children and Family Trust, (Governor Appointment); Hudson River Park Trust, (Mayoral Appointment); M.D. Anderson Hospital Cancer Center, Board Member; New York Racing Association, Board Member (Governor Appointment), Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, Board Member, Center for Public Leadership, Harvard Kennedy School, Board Member, Fallen Hero's Fund, Board Member, The Atlantic Council, Board Member, Business Executives for National Security (BENS), Board Member.

 

Ms. Mosbacher has authored two books, including the best seller, “Feminine Force,” a semi-autobiography and motivational guide for women and “It Takes Money Honey,” a women’s guide to total financial freedom.

 

Ms. Mosbacher has a Bachelor of Science degree, from Indiana University. She also holds a Doctor of Business Administration honorary degree from Bryant College.

 

Ms. Mosbacher resides in New York City.
