Craig Ruch
Senior Portfolio Manager, MatlinPatterson
Craig Ruch is Chief Executive Officer, Senior Portfolio Manager of MPAM Credit Trading Partners L.P. Prior to joining MatlinPatterson, Mr. Ruch was a Senior Portfolio Manager, Managing Director, Head of Fixed Income and Chief Investment Officer at Victory Capital Management Inc., a subsidiary of KeyBank NA (“Victory”), where he was responsible for all decisions for Absolute Return and Taxable Fixed Income portfolios and headed corporate bond portfolio management, research and trading. He was also responsible for management of the fixed income group, including the Absolute Return, Taxable Fixed Income, Money Market, Tax-Exempt, and Securities Lending teams, overseeing more than $19 billion in managed assets. He was a member of Victory’s Board of Directors and a member of its Senior Management Committee. Prior to joining Victory, Mr. Ruch worked for Credit Suisse Asset Management, where he was responsible for credit exposure and core plus portfolios and was a member of the Global Credit Committee responsible for monitoring credit markets on a global basis. Additional past positions include Vice President and Lead Trader in the telecom and utility industries for Salomon Smith Barney and Vice President and Portfolio Manager for Conseco Capital Management. Mr. Ruch holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Indiana University School of Business. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder.
