Joe Peta
Author & Managing Director, Novus Partners
Joe Peta studies financial industry data at Novus Partners where he is a Managing Director overseeing business development for the firm's West Coast operations. He joined Novus following a 15-year career as both a buy-side and sell-side equities trader, most recently as co-head of tech trading at Nomura. Prior to that, he spent 12 years at Lehman Brothers as head of biotech trading in New York before moving to San Francisco to run the trading desk at a Lehman-sponsored $200+ million long/short equity hedge fund.
Mr. Peta holds an MBA from Stanford University and a BS in accounting from Virginia Tech. He's the author of the bestselling non-fiction memoir, Trading Bases, A Story About Wall Street, Gambling, and Baseball. He has appeared on CNBC, Bloomberg TV and been featured in Fortune, the Wall Street Journal, and a multitude of sports-focused outlets.
