Jacob Walthour
Vice Chairman, Ramius - A Division of the Cowen Group
Jacob Walthour, Jr. is the Vice Chairman of Product and Business Development for Ramius, LLC the alternative investment platform of the Cowen Group, Inc. Prior to joining Ramius, he serviced as a Managing Director of Cliffwater, was a Partner and Manging Director at Citadel Investment Group and Head of Advisory Services at Aksia LLC. Mr. Walthour has also had senior level roles at Quellos Group, Morgan Stanley Investment Management and Moore Capital Management. Early in his career he served as Executive Assistant to New York State Comptroller H. Carl McCall.
Jake Walthour received his B.A. cum laude from Nelson Rockefeller School at the State University of New York in Albany. He has served as Trustee for the New York Foundation for the Arts, The University at Albany Alumni Foundation and as a Director of New York Cares. He currently serves on the Investment Subcommittee of Girl Scouts USA, the board of Directors of the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Human Rights and Justice and as a Trustee of the ECLC School of New Jersey.
