Robert Crenian, PhD
Managing Director, Renaissance Technologies LLC
Dr. Crenian joined Renaissance in January 2007 and heads up the London office. Prior to that he headed up the Product Management Group at the London based systematic hedge fund manager Aspect Capital. Previously, he held positions as a senior quantitative strategist at Citigroup Smith Barney and as a global quantitative strategist and equity derivatives risk manager at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein. He holds a first class BSc in economics and statistics from University College London and a PhD in econometrics following his postgraduate work at Cambridge University and Bristol University.
